When I came to New Orleans, I didn't know what to expect. I was- for a lack of better word- culture shocked. For one thing, although the people spoke English, their accent made them sound somewhat different which could probably be because of their cross-cultural as well multicultural heritage. But this did not dampen my spirits exploring the city. I continued to seize the days as a resident of apartments for rent in New Orleans.
As a new resident of apartments for rent in New Orleans, I made my way around town to get acquainted with the place more. I went to every part of its district including the French Quarter which famous for tourists, Central Business District which contains the "Arts District" and "Old Warehouse District", and Downriver which is known for its authentic music district. I also enjoyed the Garden District at the Uptown where a number of antique stores may be found as well as upscale boutiques. As for the Middle, Lakeside and Algiers, I will have yet to discover what awaits me.
Since I'm relatively a new resident of New Orleans housing and I love food, I made it a point to taste every kind of cuisine in the area. I enjoyed the seafood which I find to be more affordable in the city compared to any other places in the country. My personal favorites include oysters and crawfish. I've also come to love Po-boys and Muffaletta sandwiches which I usually enjoy for breakfast. As for dessert, I just couldn't resist the Bananas Foster and Beignets which are also common favorites of other residents of New Orleans housing.
But at the end of every day, I would go back to my New Orleans housing where I would simply enjoy the perks of my rentals. Before the sun sets, I would have cooked my dinner at my apartment. And then, I would have dinner while watching the news on television especially so that my apartment has cable. Later in the evening, I would head over to the modern fitness center to exercise since it takes a while for me to feel weary and sleepy.
I'm hoping to discover more about what the city has to offer me as a renter of apartments for rent in New Orleans. I'm sure there are lots more to see and do. After all, I've only been around for about four weeks!
